Deputies approve law that encourages Audiovisual in the State

It will be four years on August 19th since the deputies approved in the first round during a regular session Bill 417/2019, which regulates the promotion, encouragement and incentive of audiovisual in the State of Pará and creates the Audiovisual Advisory Council, which provides for the notice and the production chain for the sector, which was the beginning of a new milestone for culture in the region.

According to the proposal, the Pará Audiovisual Advisory Council is hereby established, linked to the Department of Culture, with the purpose of providing democratic participation by society in the development of public policies that guarantee the promotion, encouragement and incentive of audiovisual in the State.

The Council will be permanent and will be composed of representatives from public authorities and civil society, on an equal basis.

To encourage the economy and production, the article also highlights the audiovisual call for proposals, through which projects in the audiovisual area that will receive incentives from the Government of the State of Pará will be selected. Each call for proposals will be published at least 30 (thirty) days before the opening of applications.

The project has been built since 2019 in a participatory manner with other parliamentarians and professionals who represent the category.
